And, another busy weekend with lots of stuff I can't put up here. It's a family blog don't you know.

Ok, another wacky weekend.

I had to work the whole weekend. Not happy about that.

On Friday at 4:15PM the network in our DC office just went tits up. We didn’t make any changes or anything (I ain’t done nothing or nothing). So, instead of going to the movie with Dave like I had planned, I ended up staying at work until around 8:30. At that point I told my boss that I need to have dinner with Dave and I would be back in the morning.

Next day I’m in the office from 8:30 until 6:30 redoing the whole network. Dave (the contractor) comes in and helps upgrade the firewall and pull a bunch of cables. We think it’s all good and I go home and then go to Rob and Mikko’s for a party. 2:30 that night we finally get home.

Only to get up and work again.

It wasn’t fixed at all. So I had to come in on Sunday and work again! Seems that a switch on the network was taking over the network. I finally figured it out. It was either my computer or my switch at my desk that was causing the issues. This after two days of work and reconnection all the physical equipment. I do remember it looking like I had got a virus on my computer but that it was caught by the virus software. Guess not. I’m scared to plug all that stuff back in so I’m in the server room on my laptop right now.

And then we went drinking again on Sunday night. Ugh.

I think I’ve had about four hours sleep over the last weekend. I’m so tired now.

On to the joke of the week.

So on the way to work I saw a car accident. Rear end thingy. The guy in the car that hit the truck got out and walked to the truck. Out from the truck stepped this dwarf who proceeded to cross his arms and proclaim that he wasn’t happy!

The drive of the other car said, “so which one are you?”

That’s when the fight began.

Life at 40 and other tales of the mildly cranky

What a weekend!

Well we keep doing it, good on Friday and then BOOM!

Of course this time we facilitated it by having a small (30+ish) party on Saturday night. I’m not sure but I think we went to bed around 3ish on Sunday morning. It was great fun but it was also very drunken.

We should have just stayed in bed the next day, but no…. It was brunch time and Lil’David was bringing over the Champaign. So We had Evegenny, Cole, Jason, David, David, Craig Dan and myself getting slowly toasted again. Mind you, one glass of mimosa after the drinking done the night before was all it took. We sat around talking shit for about three hours.

Then Dave and I took a nap.

Only to get up and go to Brett’s for dinner and get more drunk. Dear me what a weekend.

So, anyway I’m sitting at my desk really just wanting to go back home and sleep right now. I think next weekend will be just a little bit more tame.
